While many of today’s food items are sold separately as single items or in small batches, there are a few foodstuffs that are sold in specific quantities. Perhaps one of the most common is with eggs – which are traditionally sold in dozens.
While many people may not be familiar with the origin of this measuring, it is still something which is followed today with shops still selling eggs by packs of 12.
Examples, such as this video for number 84: Seven Dozen, use eggs to depict this famous measurement and provide a visual representation for this bingo call.
A number of the other videos use eggs – all in different and unique ways – and remind us just how special the game of bingo is.
You can read more about Costa Bingo’s campaign and why they released the videos here but, until then, we recommend watching some of the great videos and brushing up on your bingo lingo skills.
