Mother’s day is dangerously close (Sunday 10th March) but what better way to spend your special day than to be treated like the princess warrior you are with a Mothers day breakfast in bed.

It’s not often that I get a breakfast in bed so I’ll take any excuse to stay in my pit, especially for this rarer than rocking horse poop event. Hurrah! When I was sent some complimentary treats by Riverside Lifestyle, I was delighted to use this excuse to test them out!

Riverside Lifestyle in an online shop aiming to relax and rejuvenate your lifestyle. I received the following goodies:

• {1} Raspberry and Lavender Jam
  Perfect to spread on your mother’s day ‘breakfast in bed’ morning toast [after the fry up, heh!] This jam is handmade and jam-packed (pardon the pun) with raspberries and lavender. Upon tasting you get a bit hit of the tart raspberry flavour followed immediately by the floral notes of the lavender which is the aftertaste that stays with you. The texture is also amazing too, all those raspberry seeds!
• {2} Lavender and Champagne Truffles
  If you can’t have a chocolate truffle or two on your special day, who can? I’m not a fan of wine personally (which includes champagne). However, I do like these champagne and lavender truffles, who knew? Coated in creamy white chocolate with a creamy centre, these truffles melt like a dream in your mouth and the combination of the champagne and lavender is just the perfect ratio.
• {3} Lavender Shower Gel and Body Lotion
  Perfect for keeping you relaxed and calm when the kiddos surround you as soon as you leave the bedroom. The scent is amazing and leaves me feeling spotlessly clean. Followed by the lavender and olive oil body lotion, the lavender has anti-microbial properties while the olive oil moisturises. My skin looks and feels moisturised and good enough to eat.
• {4} Lavender Bath Creamer
  As of yet, I cannot comment on the bath creamer as I don’t have a bath in my house – I’m a shower girl and have a shower wet room! However, I will be taking a trip to the mother in laws just to try out this bath creamer. It looks and smells divine. Hand rolled in lavender petals with real lavender and geranium essential oils, I can only imagine I will be coming home feeling much more relaxed.

The Riverside Lifestyle website is easy to navigate with the navigation bar being at the top of the page. Easy to use search tools are easily spotted and links to other important informations such as terms and conditions, contact and the Riverside Lifestyle blog are easily accessible also. The product prices are clearly specified on their own product pages with clear pictures and choices of colour/flavour, etc too.

Overall, I’m delighted with the products and service. Delivery was very prompt and emails are always answered very quickly too. I can’t think of any cons other than the fact that some people may like their jam smooth (I like mine textured) but that’s all I can come up with.
