It’s Sunday!

Welcome to Sugar & Slice Sunday Link Party

As you may have guessed, I’m back from my short holiday away in the countryside.

We had an awesome time, but it was far from relaxing! All those early starts while you’re away. I think I need another holiday to recover from my holiday!! 😆

When we arrived, we realised that there was a RAF (Royal Air Force) base located literally at the back of the park. There were fighter jets taking off 2 at a time every 2 minutes each hour. Boy are those things loud, and they were taking off from 8am to 11:59pm at night! Most people would get peeved at the noise, but we I loved it!

We couldn’t help go to the base, and we watched them land right above our heads…

I managed to grab a great spot where they were landing right over my head.

But holy crap, I think my ears were bleeding after, and the massive rush of warm air suddenly after the jet passed was awesome!

To be honest, after the first one went past I did get a leetle scared, took a few more photos (asking the giant man-baby to put his fingers in my ears), and left! 😆 😳

I haven't been posting sweet recipes the past couple weeks, so I didn't participate. This week I submitted Potato Hot Dog rolls which aren't a dessert either but I hope that's okay.

Welcome Home Lisa! I really enjoyed those photos with out the noise! I bet your ears are still ringing - and I agree, a person always needs a vacation after vacation! And...I posted the wrong photo (big surprise) it's a diy and I should have posted my fourth of July treat. I can't delete it and wondered if you would do it for me! (Just like old times - me and my computer issues!) Thanks!! :)
